Sending/Receiving Limits

A list of ImprovMX' limits on number of emails sent or received per day.

In order to prevent abuse and to protect our email servers' reputation, we have put fair-usage limits in place for each accounts tier.

Free accounts

  • Receiving: 500 emails / day
  • Sending: 0

Light accounts

  • Receiving: 5,000 emails per account / day
  • Sending: 25 emails per account / day via SMTP

Premium accounts

  • Receiving: 5,000 emails per account / day
  • Sending: 6,000 emails per account / month via SMTP

Pro accounts

  • Receiving: 15,000 emails per account / day
  • Sending: 30,000 emails per account / month via SMTP

Enterprise accounts

  • Receiving: unlimited
  • Sending: unlimited via SMTP

What happens if I exceed the limit?

You get an email when you are close to your limit and another when you hit it. After that, we stop processing mail for that domain until the quota resets at 00:00 UTC. Mail received after that is bounced to senders with a short over-quota message asking them to try again later. Upgrade your plan to immediately unlock higher limits.
