ImprovMX is a tool for forwarding email, not for sending spam, phishing, or anything that makes the internet a worse place. We take abuse seriously and act on every credible report we receive.

What counts as abuse

Using ImprovMX for any of the following is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, without notice or refund:

  • Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email;
  • Phishing, fraud, impersonation, or any attempt to deceive recipients into handing over money or credentials;
  • Distributing malware, viruses, or malicious links;
  • Using ImprovMX as a mailing list, diffusion list, or to collect email campaign bounce reports;
  • Mass-registering accounts or aliases to abuse third-party services, verifications, signups, surveys, or contests;
  • Content that promotes or incites harm, harassment, or discrimination;
  • Anything that violates the law or the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights.

How to report abuse

Email with as much detail as you can. The more we get, the faster we can act. Helpful things to include:

  • The full message headers of the abusive email;
  • The ImprovMX address or domain involved;
  • The date and time you received it;
  • A short description of what happened.

Reports are confidential. We review every one and take action where it's warranted.

What we do about it

When we confirm abuse, we act fast: that can mean disabling an alias, suspending or terminating the account, and cooperating with law enforcement where appropriate. ImprovMX reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, at our sole discretion.
